About Celtic Light
Celtic Light began with a call to service. After more than two decades in investment banking, founder Eoghan O’Keeffe took an extended sabbatical that became part of a deeper period of personal healing and transformation. He traveled, worked on his mental and spiritual health, began supporting nonprofits, and started working on what would become Casa Damara.
When he returned to Morgan Stanley, he expected to resume his career. Instead, he found himself asking a different question: How can I be of service?
Celtic Light grew from a desire to redirect the experience, resources, and capital he had accumulated toward helping people, animals, and the planet heal.
Over time, that instinct developed into a broader philosophy Eoghan calls Happitalism: harnessing the creative power of entrepreneurship and markets while directing more capital and human energy toward helping people become happier, healthier, healed, and more in harmony with nature.
Rather than focusing on a single industry, Celtic Light follows that intention wherever it leads.
Why Celtic?
The name reflects Eoghan’s Irish heritage and a worldview that increasingly informs the work.
His grandparents emigrated from Ireland to America, and his own reconnection with those roots led him deeper into Irish history, Celtic spirituality, Druidry, and older traditions of relationship with the natural world.
In early Ireland, trees and the natural landscape held deep cultural and spiritual significance. That spirit of reciprocity and reverence for the living world offers a simple reminder: the land is not merely a resource to extract from, and nature is not separate from us.
The idea behind the name is simple: to shine Celtic light on people, ideas, and projects working toward a more healed and regenerative world.
Today, that work takes three forms
